Shenzhen Nanshan Weiming School (formerly Peking University High School Shenzhen Nanshan Branch) was founded in May 2000. It is a basic education development project of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Industry-University-Research Institute Base, which is a tripartite cooperation between Peking University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is a boarding state-owned private school that integrates primary, junior high, high school, and international high school education with small-class teaching. The school is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, adjacent to the Qianhai Free Trade Zone and Nantou Ancient City. The campus buildings are magnificent, unique in style, elegant and fresh, with a reasonable layout and complete facilities for various venues. It is a modern, open, cultural and garden-style school. Over the past 20 years since its establishment, the school has adhered to the educational philosophy of “returning to the essence of education and being responsible for children’s lives”, fully implemented the educational policy of “cultivating morality and fostering talents”, deepened the reform of education and teaching, and become a model of high-quality K12 basic education schools with “high teaching performance and excellent student quality”.
